The membership year runs from the beginning of September until the end of June.  New members can join at any time during the year.   As a member, you are warmly invited to attend the monthly general meetings.  You can sign up for any activity group that interests you and you can register for all the events and outings that are organised by the Club.


All members receive a monthly newsletter with the information about the various interest groups and the latest activities and events planned for the next few months.  The membership fees cover the cost of hall rental, the speakers' fees and the refreshments at the general meetings.

General Meetings


The majority of our members meet once a month at the General Meeting.  This meeting is usually held on the first Thursday of each month* from September until June from 10.00 am to 12:00 midday at:


St John's Church Hall

6 Hallowell Road

Northwood, MIddlesex


*Please note that for the 2017-2018 year, the September, January and May meetings will be held on the second Thursday of the month.


A lecture is held at almost every meeting.  The topics of the lectures cover a wide range.  The aim of the General Meeting is to get together with old and new friends, to hear about the on-going Interest Groups and to sign up for the forthcoming excursions and events.
