Interest Groups Membership Charity

[Under Construction]

The Club offers a large variety of Interest Groups.   The majority of  these groups are day-time acitvities.  All members can join as many groups as they wish.  Some groups are attended by a small number of members and other groups attract a larger number of women.  The Interest Groups are headed by a Co-ordinator, who organises the meetings and events throughout the year.  These Interest Groups are an excellent way of getting to know people, learn new skills and develop interests.

Please note: All Interest Group meetings are for members only, unless specified.

At the moment, the following Interest Groups are on offer:

Art Appreciation
Visits and guided tours to galleries, museums and other buildings of interest. Visits are either locally arranged or in London.

Book Club (daytime & evening)
Both clubs meet once a month at a member's house. The choice of books is up to the members and will cover a wide range for everyone's taste.

Bunco
This is a social, fun game played on several Friday nights throughout the year.  It is hosted by a club member and everyone goes home happily with a present.

International Cooking
A group activity for couples who love to cook and entertain.  Several dinner parties are organised throughout the yearand the hosting couple choose a cuisine from a specific country.

Knitting
One evening per month, the knitters will gather to exercise their knitting needles.  All knitters are welcome, whether you are a total beginner or an advanced one.  Help and advice is available from the co-ordinator.

Ladies Who Lunch
A group of ladies who love to sample different foods at a variety of restaurants for lunch.  The co-ordinator books tables each month at either a local restaurant or at a restaurant a little further afield.
Mahjong
Mahjong is a Chinese tile game played in groups of four.  Everyone can join this exciting and interesting game, from beginner to experienced player.   The group meets every month on a Friday morning at the St. John's Church Hall in Northwood.
Quilting & Stitching
This social group is for anyone who quilts, cross stitches, crochets or enjoys any other handicraft. The group meets one morning per month in order to be creative with textile.

Screen & Stage
This group organises visits to see local shows and performances of plays, dramas, films and dance.

Walkers and Ramblers
At the moment, the walkers and ramblers meet twice a month to walk for around 5 miles mainly through the countryside.  The walk usually finishes at the pub, where they started from, in order to have lunch together.
