Northwood Area Women's Club

Bringing Women Together in Friendship for over 50 Years

Who We Are

Northwood Area Women's Club (NAWC) is a social club that brings together women living in and around the Northwood area. We are a non-profit organisation for women of all ages and nationalities, including those living in the UK temporarily. We offer a stimulating programme of social and cultural activities, many of which are designed to give our international members a better understanding of British life and culture. Our goals are to promote friendship among women, assist members in making their residence in England a meaningful experience and to contribute to our community.

Our monthly meetings feature guest speakers on a variety of topics. We also organize tours, social events and cultural activities, and we fundraise for a local charity selected by the members each year.

The NAWC celebrated its 50th birthday in 2022! Initially an informal coffee get-together,  it was started by a group of American women living in and around Northwood

We invite you to attend your first meeting as our guest, or email for more information.

What members have to say ...

When I first arrived in London, I was lost. I wanted to make friends with other ladies in the area and I also wanted to visit the many places London had to offer. But not knowing anyone, I struggled on how to even begin. Since discovering NAWC, I have built confidence in developing friendships with other ladies nearby, and I have enjoyed learning how to play Mah Jong in a relaxed, non competitive circle of lovely ladies. They welcomed me right away and that was so important when making new friends. I enjoy the Club so much and the opportunities for outings in London, discovering new restaurants and even sharing a love for crafts and books, are just a few of the reasons this group is so valuable! So glad I found it!
